TurboRAN features an in-house network management system that is designed to facilitate the data gathering process from mobile devices in real-time for processing and utilization in data-driven Zero Touch Automation solutions.
The system includes a data logging app that is capable of logging network performance data and GPS location information in real-time.
This data is then transmitted instantly to an online database, where it can be accessed immediately for faster analysis and decision-making.
The data logging app is capable of logging important performance metrics, including RSRP, RSRQ, Timing Advance, Cell ID, BS ID, location, mobile device ID, and date and time at which the data was gathered.
In the event that internet connectivity is unavailable, the data is buffered and transmitted as soon as internet access is restored, ensuring that no data is lost.
To optimize data storage and processing, the system uses the Hadoop framework, which provides distributed storage and processing of large datasets.
By using Hadoop, the data can be stored in a data lake, which allows for the storage of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data in a centralized repository. This provides a cost-effective and scalable solution for managing large amounts of data.
Furthermore, the data lake feature of TurboRAN enables machine learning automation of TurboRAN by extracting insights and patterns from the data stored in the data lake.
ML automation streamlines the data analysis process by automating tasks such as data preparation, feature engineering, and model selection. This can help to uncover hidden insights in the data, enabling more informed decision-making of TurboRAN configuration and optimization parameters.
